Technicians from the Junta de Extremadura and the LIFE LYNXCONNEXT project in Extremadura visited several town councils and farms in the Ibores area, in the province of Cá ceres.
During this week they visited the municipalities of Almaraz, Belvis de Monroy and Valdehúncar, as well as a farm with a confirmed presence of lynx in its territory.
The purpose of the visit was to present the LYNXCONNECT project to the new municipal corporations in the area, given that there is already a large population in the areas surrounding these municipalities.
The availability of the team to explore ways of collaboration in terms of meetings with the general population, hunting societies, talks and activities with the school population, the possibility of future collaboration agreements, etc. was explained in detail.
The visits were very relaxed and appreciated by the municipal corporations, and a calendar is already being established for future meetings and dissemination activities in their localities.
