Our puppet visited Giões, in the municipality of Alcoutim, and was very well received by the population!

On the day of the village festival, several generations of inhabitants gathered to see the “Letter of the Iberian lynx to the village”, a playful and didactic moment that deals with a subject still surrounded by many myths, about a species that has recently reappeared in the territory.

It is an initiative carried out in the framework of the LIFE Lynxconnect Project, within an artistic and participatory intervention, actively involving the populations of the villages of Giões, Pereiro and Furnazinhas.

The puppet was designed and produced by Picada Cultural – Association for the promotion of artistic and social cultural values. The construction of the puppet was carried out by José Gil and Sofia Vinagre (S.A. Marionetas) and the manipulation of the puppet was directed by José Gil.
