As part of its commitment to wildlife conservation, IP has implemented various measures on sections of road considered critical. These measures include the installation of warning signs and road signs, the adaptation of safe passages under the road, the installation of species-specific fencing, the installation of speed controllers and the clearing of vegetation on the hard shoulders, thereby increasing visibility for both drivers and animals.
In addition to preventive actions, IP has promoted various public awareness campaigns, the most recent being the ‘Lynx Marks’ campaign, which aims to reinforce the company’s commitment to the preservation and protection of this species.
In the latest video, we present the ‘Lince i’, the Infraestruturas de Portugal vehicle dedicated to monitoring the condition of the road.
