Associated beneficiary
The Consejería de Fomento through its Dirección General de Carreteras y Transporte is specifically entrusted with the following functions:
- Castilla-La Mancha road network monitoring, control and maintenance.
- Analysis, diagnosis and prognosis of road supply and transport demand.
- Elaboration and monitoring of 1) Castilla-La Mancha road plan and 2) road programmes of roads owned by the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha.
- Preparation and monitoring of Castilla-La Mancha Road Network Catalogue and management of road sections replaced by new infrastructures.
- Preparation, monitoring, supervision and control of preliminary projects and projects for regionally-owned roads.
- Conservation and maintenance of road assets, operation and signposting of regionally-owned roads and their complementary services, as well as the inventory of road safety, public domain areas, easements and road protection.
- Elaboration of road safety plans and programmes competence of the Consejeria.
- Studies, reports, coordination and road centres management.
The Consejería de Fomento will implement defragmentation actions to prevent Iberian Lynx run-overs in the road network under its competence.
