We are delighted to announce the launch of our 20-part series on the conservation of the Iberian lynx, presented by Catalina García Carrasco, Minister of Sustainability and Environment of the Junta de Andalucía.
The Iberian lynx has achieved an unprecedented milestone: from critically endangered to vulnerable. Today, there are more than 2,000 specimens in the Iberian Peninsula, thanks to the joint efforts of administrations, scientists and citizens.
Andalusia, leading this project together with the European LIFE LynxConnect programme, presents this series that tells the story of the recovery of the Iberian lynx. After more than 20 years of LIFE projects, the results obtained constitute one of the greatest international successes in the conservation of a species.
