LIFE LYNXCONNECT organises a family day to enjoy learning about the Iberian lynx in Villanueva del Río y Minas
April 1, 2024
On Saturday 6 April, a day of workshops will be held at Pozo 5 in Villanueva del Río y Minas (Seville), where children will be able to learn about the Iberian lynx, one of the most emblematic (and at the same time endangered) wild species living in Andalusia.
The event, which is part of the LIFE LYNXCONNECT project, aims to raise public awareness of the importance of conserving the Iberian lynx and to encourage respectful attitudes that favour the survival of the species.
The event, which will take place between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., will include a series of workshops that will provide a fun, family-friendly atmosphere in which to learn about the fundamental aspects of the Iberian lynx:
Storytelling about the lynx. Two storytelling sessions will be scheduled throughout the morning, one at 11:30 am and the other at 1:00 pm.
Photographic exhibition on the Iberian lynx, showing its reintroduction to its natural territories.
Photocall with chroma key, where attendees can have their photograph taken and then include a background related to the lynx and upload the image to the project’s website.
Road education circuit “Beware of lynxes”, where children will be able to drive go-karts while learning basic notions of road education and one of the main causes of their death: road traffic accidents.
· El juego de la oca del lince ibérico. Se dispondrá de un juego de la oca de grandes dimensiones y un dado gigante. El público participante podrá ir avanzado por las casillas del juego, debiendo responder para ello a una serie de preguntas sobre el lince.
