The two LIFE projects are directly related, as the wild rabbit is the main prey of the Iberian lynx.
The “Jornadas Iberconejo sobre intercambio de experiencias sobre fomento de poblaciones del conejo de monte” took place on 15 and 16 February 2023 in Trujillo, Extremadura, Spain.
The LIFE LYNXCONNECT project participated in the conference with a presentation entitled “Results of actions to improve rabbit populations for the conservation of the Iberian lynx”.
The Artemisan Foundation attended to learn about the situation of wild rabbits in areas where there are stable populations or where Iberian lynx are present. The conference devoted much of its content to the hunting sector and the management of hunting reserves; with the same perspective offered by LYNXCONNECT in the specific meetings held in all the regions involved in the recovery of the lynx, and which are carried out by the Foundation.
