The Artemisan Foundation Brings the LIFE LYNXCONNECT Project to the Province of Guadalajara
February 11, 2026
This month, an information session about the Iberian lynx was held in Illana (Guadalajara) as part of the LIFE LYNXCONNECT project. The session, aimed at hunters, landowners, and managers of hunting grounds in the area, was requested by the local hunting association. Its objective was to inform and improve knowledge about the species and its potential presence in the area.
Entitled “The Iberian Lynx: Everything You Need to Know,” the session served to introduce the LIFE LYNXCONNECT project and answer questions related to the Iberian lynx. This initiative is part of the outreach efforts of this European project, which aims to consolidate the species’ population.
During the meeting, the fundamental role played by hunters, managers and landowners in the recovery of this emblematic species of Iberian fauna was highlighted, taking into account that nearly 90% of Iberian lynxes currently live in hunting reserves and estates.
